Investment objectives

Hearth Ethical Fund is a balanced (up to 70% equity and up to 70% bond) ethical and sustainable fund that invests only in instruments from developed markets that meet the most stringent sustainability criteria. The fund has earned 5 Globes, the highest score for Morningstar Sustainability Rating. The cardinal principles of sustainable investment are declined as follows: exclusion of companies involved in activities contrary to the principles adopted by the ESG Committee (13 economic activities including arms, oil, tobacco, etc.) and selection of best-in-class companies according to ESG criteria, positively aligned the UN Sustainable Development Goals and emission reduction, in line with the Paris 2015 agreements. In addition, stewardship activities are carried out, which include active participation in shareholders’ meeting votes of portfolio companies and promotion of engagement initiatives to improve corporate practices on relevant sustainability issues.

Morningstar Sustainability Rating

The Morningstar Sustainability Rating is an indicator produced by Morningstar that measures a fund portfolio’s exposure to environmental, social and governance risks. It is based on the Sustainalytics ESG risk ratings of the individual companies held, weighted by the size of each position, and is expressed on a scale of one to five globes. The rating assigned to this Sub-Fund is shown in the monthly factsheet.

The assessment is relative rather than absolute: the Sub-Fund is compared with the other funds in the same Morningstar Global Category, and five globes indicate low ESG risk relative to those funds. The indicator is calculated and assigned solely by Morningstar on the basis of the most recently reported portfolio holdings: it therefore reflects a historical position and may change over time. It is not an assessment of the quality of the Sub-Fund’s management, it does not measure the environmental or social impact of the investments and it is not an indicator of future results. The full methodology is defined and published by Morningstar on its website: morningstar.com. Morningstar® is a trademark of Morningstar, Inc.

Important information

The summary risk indicator, from 1 (lower risk) to 7 (higher risk), is taken from the Key Information Document (PRIIPs KID) for this share class and follows its methodology.

Principal risks of the Sub-Fund. In addition to the risks common to all sub-funds — issuer-specific risk, liquidity risk, counterparty risk and risks associated with the investment decisions and the operation of the Sub-Fund — an investment in this Sub-Fund is in particular exposed to: sustainability risks; liquidity risk; credit risk; risks associated with certain financial instruments (equities, debt securities and bonds, high yield bonds, convertible bonds, CoCos, units of UCITS and other UCIs including ETFs, financial derivative instruments traded on a regulated market and OTC, securities lending); risks associated with investments in emerging markets; risks associated with investments in China, including sub-custody risk; and foreign exchange risk. This list is not exhaustive: the full description of the risk factors is set out in the Prospectus, section 5 (General Risk Factors), and in the Sub-Fund’s supplement.

The sub-fund is actively managed without reference to a benchmark.

Investors are acquiring units or shares in a fund, and not in a given underlying asset such as a building or shares of a company.

This Fund may not be appropriate for investors who plan to withdraw their money before the recommended holding period disclosed in the PRIIPs KID, if available for this share class.

Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Commissions and costs have a negative impact on the investment and on the expected returns. The entry and exit costs, which would have a negative impact on the performance, are not taken into consideration.

If whole or part of the total costs to be paid is different from your reference currency, the costs may increase or decrease as a result of currency and exchange rate fluctuations. The same applies to the return, if the currency of the product is different from your reference currency.

Investors should read the Key Information Document, Prospectus and any applicable local document prior to investing and to get complete information of the risks.
